While concrete needs a high-pressure treatment to dislodge dirt and stains, home siding and roofing require a gentler application (called soft washing). Why not DIY?
While individuals can rent power washing equipment, consumer-grade rentals are the most common. These simply do not have the power or precision of our professional gear. In addition, when the job is done right, power washing is a time-consuming, detail-oriented task that requires expertise. Finally, while we don’t want to overstate the case, power washing can lead to injury. When thousands of pounds of pressure are concentrated in a jet stream, trips to the ER can result. Training is also required to determine adequate pressure, whether to apply a soft wash or a “hard” wash and to protect plants, pets and yards.
